Spanish advanced level C1
Conditions: Conclusion of the intermediate level B2 or intensive course/stay in a Spanish speaking country
Goals: Train oral and written expression ability
Improvement of listening comprehension and oral expression
Reach the competence level C1 of the European reference framework
Contents: Review of previously taught grammar and learning of new grammatical contents
Vocabulary extension (especially scientific texts) & idioms
Leading discussions, holding a presentation and reacting to different questions
Writing longer formal texts
Methods: Free study material sent via email
Use of up-to-date topics, texts and newspaper articles
Deepening into grammar
Exercises including reading and listening comprehension, vocabulary and structures - use of audiovisual media
Communicative and action-oriented exercises
Course form: E-learning (on-line)
Place of event: On-line course with tutor company
Technical facilities: PC with Internet connection and email

Listening Reading
Many idioms and colloquial language. Understanding and summarizing long texts – e.g. reports and comments.
Information from public announcements, even with bad transmission quality – e.g. at the airport. Any kind of letter with occasional help of the dictionary.
Specialized lectures, speeches and reports. High-specialized texts about your own field of activity (e.g. research reports).
Understanding movies without difficulty. Contemporary literary texts.

Speaking Writing
Good performance in lively discussions with native speakers. Writing clearly and well about a wide variety of topics (general or specific).
Fluency and correctness in many topics – general, professional, scientific. Summarizing information from different sources.
Expressing opinion and thoughts precisely and clearly. Presenting arguments convincingly. Describing experiences and feelings in personal letters.
Making a speech/presentation in your field of activity, deviating from the original text and dealing spontaneously with questions of listeners. Writing clear formal letters – e.g. a complaint letter.
